Trapped inside a classroom with a blast of bullets flying just on the other side of the classroom door, this active feminist thriller keeps you on the edge of your seat through its entire duration. Kristiana Rae Colón tackles the escalating topic of gun violence, rape culture, and sexual assault within the modern era of school shootings and viral media. 

Cast

Maria Zurita (asha) is a fourth year English, Philosophy, and Political Science major. She has previously worked on Richard III (Young York, Tyrell, Lord Grey, Murderer, Messenger), A Weekend Of Workshops: The Cherry Orchard (Fiers), A Weekend Of Workshops: The Picture of Dorian Gray (Henry Wotton), CES: Timon of Athens (Flaminius, Painter, Murderer), and Maroon TV: Hyde Pork (Tessa). 

Sydnee Johnson (ariel) is a student in the college.

Elizabeth Ombrellaro (crete) is a second year potential Math major. She has been seen previously as Ted in Peter and the Starcatcher, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing and Tree Number 1 in Don Quijote. She is excited to push the envelope with her upcoming roles, and she hopes you come out with a new perspective after the show.

Christina Cano (emme) is a fourth year Sociology and Creative Writing major. This is her first time performing in a show for University Theater. She's excited and grateful for the opportunity to be in this play!

Kendall Phillips (kinzie) is a student in the college.

Shreya Shettigar (natalie) is a second year Econ-Business major (but don’t worry she’s also minoring in Cinema and Media Studies). She has previously worked on A Weekend Of Workshops: The Rope (Pat Sweeney), Much Ado About Nothing (Antonio), and I & You (Caroline).

Maya Jain (sophia) is a fourth year TAPS and SALC double major. Some other UT credits of hers include I & You (Director), Circe (Scenic Designer), After the Revolution (Scenic Designer), and she will be directing Fun Home next quarter. She is delighted to be working on good friday with such an incredible team and hopes you enjoy their wonderful work. 

Production Staff

Anna Aguiar Kosicki (Director) is a third year in the College majoring in History and Sociology. Most recent UT credits include Animals Out of Paper (Stage Manager), Much Ado About Nothing (Stage Manager), As You Like It (Makeup Designer/Wardrobe), and Weekend of Workshops: The Importance of Being Earnest (Director). Anna is also the Secretary of UT's student committee and a Theater[24] curator.

Molly Bridges (Co-Production Manager) is a third year TAPS major. They have previously worked on New Work Week 2018 (Actor) and Eurydice (ASM).

Lucia Geng (Co-Production Manager) is a second year Political Science major. She has previously acted in Richard III (Catesby) and Much Ado About Nothing (Verges), and is thrilled to be a part of the good friday team. 

Emma Shapiro (Stage Manager) is a second year Linguistics major and TAPS minor. She has previously worked on I & You (Assistant Production Manager, Assistant Props Designer), Love's Labour Lost: The Musical (Assistant Lighting Designer), God of Carnage (Assistant  Stage Manager), and Peter and the Starcatcher (Assistant Stage Manager).

Ethan Schondorf (Scenic Designer) is a second year in the college. Previously at UChicago, he has worked on Animals Out Of Paper (Scenic Design) Love's Labour's Lost: The Musical (Scenic Designer), Next to Normal (Assistant Scenic Designer) and Theater[24] (Designer). He is also an ensemble member of UChicago Commedia and a member of Tech Staff.

Eren Ahn (Props Designer) is a fourth year in the college majoring in Biological Sciences, Visual Arts, and time management. The last one may or may not be dropped by the end of this quarter. Previous credits include props designer of I & YouGod of Carnage, and Next to Normal. Eren would like you to remember that modge podge is not flammable and thus anything you decoupage should not be set on fire. Thank you for flying Southwest Airlines.

Elizabeth Price (Costume Designer) is a student in the college.

Felix Lecocq (Sound Designer) is a third year English Language/Literature and Creative Writing double major. He has previously worked on Love's Labour's Lost: The Musical (Sound Designer) and Mr Burns, a post-electric play (Assistant Sound Designer).

Lucas Asher (Lighting Designer) is a third year Geophysical Sciences and History major. He has previously worked on Animals Out of Paper (Lighting Designer), Much Ado About Nothing (Lighting Designer), As You Like It (Assistant Lighting Designer), and She Kills Monsters (Assistant Lighting Designer).

Jonathan Poilpre (Projections Designer) is a fourth year Interdisciplinary Studies major focusing on economics, gender, and race. He has previously worked on Iphigenia & Other Daughters (Sound Designer).

Olivia Malone (Projections Technician) is a fourth year Economics major. She is the Assistant to the Lighting Manager on TAPS Tech Staff, represents Tech Staff on UT Committee, and works as a technician at Mandel Hall. Some recent UT credits include: Animals Out Of Paper (PM), Matt & Ben (PSM), and the Dean's Men's As You Like It (PM). She is very happy to have learned so much about projection/video technology this quarter, and looks forward to returning to production management soon!

Caitlyn Klum (Dramaturg) is a student in the college.

Casey McKenna (Master Electrician) is a student in the college.

Rachel Flesher (Fight & Intimacy Choreographer) is an Intimacy, Violence and Movement Director/Instructor, an actor and Director who has been in the industry almost a decade. Her goal is to create safe spaces for actors to do brave work through spreading consent culture. Rachel is an Instructor with the Fight Directors Canada, an Instructor with Tactics on Set, an adjunct faculty member at Columbia College Chicago and DePaul University. Rachel is Certified in Mental Health First Aid and specializes in Consent and Combat direction for youth. Select Chicago violence/intimacy credits include Robin Hood (Adventure Stage Chicago), The Displaced (Haven Theatre), Women Laughing Alone With Salad (Theatre Wit), Natural Affection (Eclipse Theatre), Cabaret! (Paramount Theatre), Hang Man (The Gift Theatre), Women in Jeopardy, The Man Beast! (First Folio), The Burials (Steppenwolf for Young Adults), In the Next Room, or the vibrator play (TimeLine Theatre) and Insurrection (Stage Left). Change the World! 

Mollie Davies (Assistant Director) is a second year Psychology and Environmental Studies major. She has previously worked on I & You (Assistant Scenic Designer). She is looking forward to moving into performance in the future!

Sara Everson (Assistant Stage Manager) is a second year Classics and Linguistics major. She has previously worked on Peter and the Starcatcher (Props Designer), God of Carnage (Assistant Props Designer) and The Aliens (Props Designer).

Genevieve Bryant (Assistant Scenic Designer) is a second year Psychology and Spanish major. This is her first show, and she is very excited to be a part of it!

Isaiah Zwick-Schachter (Assistant Lighting Designer) is a first year in the college. This is his first show with University Theater. At LaGuardia High School, he worked on 42nd Street (Master Electrician), August Osage County (Master Electrician), and Les Miserables (Projections) among other shows. He is excited to continue working with University Theater for rest of his time at the college.

Celia Anderson (Assistant Projections Technician) is a first year Linguistics major. good friday is her first show at the University of Chicago.

Jasmine Barnard (Projections Actor) is a fourth year psychology major. This is her first production at the University of Chicago.

Charlie Wiland (Projections Actor) is a second year Linguistics and Philosophy major. She has previously worked on Much Ado About Nothing and is currently in Macbeth.

Lynn Chong (Committee Liaison) is a second year Anthropology and Public Policy major. She has previously worked on Peter and the Starcatcher (Props Designer), Love's Labour's Lost: The Musical (Katherine), The Misanthrope (Eliante), and Richard III (Props Designer). She is also currently a member of the UT Committee.
