Gasping on the shores of Illyria, young Viola disguises herself as a man to secure a job with the Duke Orsino, and quickly finds herself entangled in an unwelcomed love triangle. Travel back to 1983 for this fantastical performance of Shakespeare’s gender bending comedy of mistaken identity and unrequited love. Tickets are as free as sunshine!

Cast

Willem Finn Harling (Malvolio) is a first year in the college and is planning on majoring in Gender and Sexuality and TAPS. Previous roles include Lucio in Measure for Measure, Lombard in And Then There Were None, and M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias. Along with acting, Will hopes to direct and playwright for UT in the future. Enjoy the show!

Claire Schultz (Olivia) is a third year English and Creative Writing major. Her previous UT credits include Macbeth (First Witch/Porter 1), I & You (Assistant Stage Manager), Love's Labour's Lost: The Musical (Assistant Stage Manager), and Eurydice (Assistant Production Manager). She is also very bad at telling twins apart.

Katie Bevil (Viola) is a third year TAPS and French double major. Previous UT credits include As You Like It (Orlando), Eurydice (Orpheus), The Aliens (Evan), and Macbeth (Banquo). They are also a member of University Theater Committee and are excited to return for their third Dean’s Men credit!

Ro Redfern (Duke Orsino) is a first year Public Policy major whose previous UT credits include Machinal (Sound Designer), Weekend of Workshops: 500 bucks and a pack of smokes (Sound Designer), and Measure for Measure (Assistant Sound Designer). Shreya Shettigar (Antonio) is a second year Econ-Business major with a Cinema and Media Studies minor. She has previously worked on Fun Home (Assistant Director), good friday (Natalie), I & You (Caroline), Much Ado About Nothing (Antonio), and The Rope (Pat Sweeney). Her onscreen credits include the web series Writer's Room (Tummy Tea Model) and an indie film in production entitled Seems (Shannah Shandulfos/Genevieve/Interviewer). Shreya is represented by Promote Talent Agency.

Ian Grant-Funck (Director) is a third year Religious Studies major. He is the Dean's Men President-elect and is thrilled to be working on his 7th Dean's Men production. He would like to thank his father.

Alice May (Stage Manager) is a second year English and Gender Studies major with a minor in Education. She has previously stage managed Machinal and A Weekend Of Workshop, as well as assistant stage managing The Aliens, acting in Love's Labour's Lost, and serving on UT committee.

Jacob Spiegel (Set/Sound Designer) is a third year Computer Science major. He has previously worked on Grenadine (Sound Designer), Measure For Measure (Sound Designer), Animals Out Of Paper (Director), Much Ado About Nothing (Sound Designer), A Weekend Of Workshops: Matt & Ben (Director), As You Like It (Sound Designer), Comedy Of Errors (Assistant Sound Designer), and Mr. Burns, a post-electric play (Auxiliary Percussion/Assistant Set Designer).

Marly Santora (Props Designer) is a third year in the College majoring in Art History. She has previously worked as the props designer for Machinal and Measure for Measure, and is a current member of UT Committee.

Justin Saint-Loubert-Bie (Assistant Director) is a first year Political Science and Environmental Studies double major. He has previously worked on Measure for Measure (Claudio), A Separate Peace (John Brown), Big Love (Nikos), The Government Inspector (The Mayor), Parade (Hugh Dorsey), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Ensemble). Besides a brief stint in high school (where he directed Political Babble), this is Justin's first show as part of the direction team, and he is very excited to see Twelfth Night come to life!

Alexandra Knitter (Assistant Production Manager) is a fourth year Biology major. She has previously worked on Merchant of Venice (Assistant Costume Designer). She has two beautiful cats and likes cooking lasagna.

Eden Irwin (Assistant Stage Manager) is a second year History major. She has previously worked on Machinal (Assistant Stage Manager).

Gigi Hancock (Assistant Props Designer) is a first year Computational and Applied Math major. She has previously worked on Machinal (Assistant Sound Designer) and Fun Home (Assistant Lighting Designer). She’s super excited to work on her 4th show with UT and is enjoying the leisure associated with not doing 3 shows in a quarter.

Camille Johnson (Assistant Props Designer) is a second year Biological Sciences major.  She had previously worked as the props designer, stagehand, and makeup artist on Yellow Face.

Nina Lubeck (Assistant Costume Designer) is a student in the college.
