Alexandra Wilson (Kate)

Alexandra Hu (Max) is playing Max, and she’s currently a masters student in the humanities (MAPH) in UChicago, focusing on philosophy, religious studies and gender studies. Thank you for supporting Muscle Memory and she hopes you enjoy it!

Suttyn Simon (Lavender) is so excited to be playing Lavender in her first main stage production! She’s a third-year Art History and Political Science major, and she previously played Lisa in Queen of Spades with UT. Before becoming involved in theater, Suttyn was a ballerina, performing roles such as Sugarplum and Clara in the Nutcracker, Kitri in Don Quixote, and Swanhilda in Coppelia.

Julia Morales (Victoria) is a second-year in the College majoring in History and NELC. Her previous University Theater roles include Lucy in Marian, a True Tale of Robin Hood (2022), Lennox in Macbeth in Space (2023), and Nicole Cantrell in Dead Fun Society (2023). You may have also seen her in some Cup of Theatre productions including Arms in the Man (2022) as Louka, and The Physicists (2023) as Nurse Monika/Boll. She is excited to share this project with the UChicago community and hope you enjoy the show!

Elena Balan (Ragle - Preview/Opening)

Laura Tutondele Mahaniah (Ragle - Matinee/Closing) is a fourth-year undergraduate studying Theater and Performance Studies and Linguistics. She has worked on a variety of University Theater, TAPS, Cup of Theater, Dance Council, and Hyde Park Community Player productions. Some of her favorite credits include The Physicists on Silks (Director/Production Manager), Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood (Will Scarlett/Fight Captain), the 2022-23 TAPS Dance Showcase (dancer), and The Wolves (#13). Kaleigh Perez (Androids) is a third-year History major. This is her second show with University Theater, her first being The Trail to Oregon! (understudy for kids). When she’s not acting, she is running the Music Forum, attending meetings for the swing dance society, or writing music.

Production Staff

Ian Tierney (Director) is originally from Eden, NY where he enlisted at 17 and served in the Marine Corps for over eight years. In 2020 he decided to move on to his next pursuit and sought an education as part of the Veteran Scholar’s Initiative at the University of Chicago. He had planned on studying Economics and pursuing a career in finance. However, after taking a required art class, he discovered a love and passion for theater. Since then, he has narrowed his focus to directing and has worked on shows such as King Lear (AD, UT 2021), Romeo and Juliet (Director, self-produced 2022), At Your Own Risk (AD, UChicago Pro Show 2023), and Midsummer Night’s Dream (AD, Oak Part Theater Festival 2023). He will graduate this year with a BA in Theater and Performance Studies and plans to pursue a career as a director.

Jordyn Flaherty (Playwright) is a third-year Law, Letters and Society major and Quantitative Social Analysis and Spanish minor. She has previously had her work produced by the Delaware Theatre Company’s Young Playwrights Festival and Philadelphia Young Playwright’s New Work Festival. She would like to thank the cast and crew for all their hard work in making the world of Muscle Memory come to life!

Danielle Yablonovskiy (Production Manager/Sound Board Operator)

Kelly Mao (Stage Manager) is a third-year studying Mathematics and Computer Science whose previous UT credits include The Laramie Project (Calling Stage Manager, SM Collective™) and The Heirs (Production Manager). She enjoys deep conversations and long walks on the beach at sunset.

Pallas Eible Hargro (Scenic Designer)

Asia Quizon-Colquitt (Co-Costumes Designer) is a recent UChicago graduate who majored in East Asian Languages and Civilizations. She has previously worked on The Trail to Oregon! (Assistant Costume Designer). She is immensely grateful for the opportunity to be involved in UT post-graduation.

D. M. Kaden (Lighting Designer) , (a.k.a “Kaden”), is a first-year History and Linguistics major. They’ve previously worked on Theater[24] (Lighting Desginer) and have been doing theater tech since 6th grade.

Elias Buttress (Assistant Production Manager) is a first-year Art History major. This is his first show with University Theater. When he’s not backstage, one can find him rehearsing for Falsettos (performing later this year as part of University Theater), singing, and exploring downtown Chicago.

Griffin Bonnin Jones (Assistant Stage Manager) is a second-year in the College majoring in History. This is their third UT show (they previously appeared as Balthazar in Romeo and Juliet and as Captain/Servant/Priest in Twelfth Night) but their first show working crew. They’re very glad to be a part of this show and hope you enjoy your day.
